I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming bout.
Former twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making substantial paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually happening.
